SPECIAL FEATURES:
In my presentation on Stealing Freedom I tell stories
which illustrate
my research process and I describe how I helped take Oprah Winfrey through a
reenactment of slavery and escape on the Underground Railroad when she was preparing
for her role as "Sethe" in the movie, Beloved.
The Storm Warriors lecture includes true, death-defying, ship-wreck
at sea stories about the crewmen of the United States Life-Saving Service (the
men known as Storm Warriors), and Power Point slides of the crewmen in action.
For Last Dance on Holladay Street I show slides and film clips that
help to bring alive the Old West setting of the novel.
My lecture on Blood on the River: James Town 1607 takes listeners back
to the time and place of the Jamestwon settlement through stories, slides, film
clips and artifacts.
Microphone required for all presentations. LCD projector required for slide shows.
Please inquire for further details or to find out how a presentation can be tailored
for a specific event.
